Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 14, 2026

Virtual Urth (“we,” “us”) operates virtualurth.com, an entertainment review site based in New York, United States. This policy explains what information the site collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Information you provide. If you use our contact form or submit a review or poem for consideration, we receive what you send us — typically a name, an email address, and your message or submission. We use it only to respond to you and, for submissions, to consider and publish your work with attribution.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) for security and troubleshooting. We also use Google Analytics, via Google Site Kit, to understand aggregate readership — which reviews are read, where visitors come from, and how the site performs. Analytics data is aggregated and does not identify you to us personally.

Advertising and cookies

Virtual Urth is supported by advertising served through Google AdSense.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info/choices.

We do not sell your personal information. Advertising partners operate under their own privacy policies; Google’s is available at policies.google.com/privacy.

Cookies you can control

You can set your browser to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent. Some parts of the site may not function optimally without them, but all editorial content remains fully readable.

Embedded content

Reviews may embed content from other sites (for example, YouTube videos or social media posts). Embedded content behaves exactly as if you had visited the originating site, which may collect data about you, use its own cookies, and monitor your interaction with the embed.

How long we keep information

Contact-form messages and submissions are kept as long as needed to handle them. Published contributions (reviews, poems) remain on the site with attribution unless you ask us to remove them. Server logs and analytics data are retained per our hosting provider’s and Google’s standard retention schedules.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the EU’s GDPR and California’s CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. To make a request, contact us at [CONTACT EMAIL]. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising privacy rights.

Children

Virtual Urth publishes reviews of family and children’s entertainment, but the site is written for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site or the law changes. The “Last updated” date above reflects the current version. Material changes will be noted on this page.
